Post Manager Guide

Welcome to the Post Manager! This is the core hub of CreatorPublisher where you can create, edit, and organize the posts you want to publish to Meta (Instagram/Facebook).

Overview

The Post Manager allows you to build out multiple social media posts (called Drafts) at the same time. You can write captions, attach images, and set specific times for each post to be published.

Key Features

  • Bulk Image Import: Import multiple images at once to instantly create separate drafts for each image.
  • Excel Import: Import a .csv or .xlsx file containing captions, image paths, and scheduled dates to automatically generate hundreds of drafts instantly.
  • Image Cropping: Crop your images directly inside the app to fit Meta's ideal aspect ratios (1:1 or 4:5).
  • Scheduling: Push posts to the Background Queue for hands-free publishing.

Getting Started

1. Creating a New Draft

To start a new post from scratch, click the New Blank Draft button in the top right corner. A new, empty post card will appear in your Drafts list.

2. Adding Images

Click the Select Images button inside a draft to attach media to your post.

  • You can select up to 10 images per draft to create a Carousel Post.
  • If an image isn't perfectly sized, click the Crop icon on the image thumbnail to adjust its framing.

3. Writing Captions

Type your caption in the text area. You can include hashtags and emojis. The preview on the right side of the screen will update in real-time, showing you exactly how the post will look on a mobile device.

Publishing & Scheduling

Once your draft is ready, you have two options for getting it live:

Option A: Publish Now

Click the Publish Now button. The app will immediately begin communicating with Meta's servers to upload your media and publish the post. You can monitor the progress in the Publish History tab.

Option B: Schedule for Later

Click the Schedule button to assign a specific date and time for the post to go live.

  1. A calendar picker will appear.
  2. Select your desired date and time.
  3. Click Save.
  4. The draft will be moved to the Scheduled Queue.

Note: For scheduled posts to publish successfully, CreatorPublisher must be running on your computer at the scheduled time!

Pro Tips

  • Shortcuts: Press Ctrl+I to quick-open the bulk image importer, or Ctrl+S to schedule the currently selected draft. Click the Shortcuts button in the header to view all available hotkeys.
  • Multi-Select: You can select multiple drafts at once using the checkboxes, allowing you to delete them all together or schedule them rapidly.
